In the background you can see the lake, which is actually called Sand Pond. This is the little gravel path in front of the main cabin, seen most noticably when Officer Dorf checks up on the counselors. It has the fireplace and the kitchen, this is where they played Strip Monopoly, and also where Alice barricaded herself in after finding the bodies. This was the main building used by the counselors, the Van Dusen cabin. The fictional 'Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake' sign and the real Camp NoBeBoSco sign. This is where Ned's truck appears at the beginning of the film, and this picture was taken very close to the NoBeBoSco Camp area. This is a shot of Millbrook Road in Hardwick Township, NJ. This road is where Enos lets Annie out to walk the rest of the way to Camp Crystal Lake. The Moravian Cemetery is close to Hope, NJ, and is actually not much closer to the campsite. The archways can be seen at the building middle left, on the street corner. There have been some alterations to the bridge, but the basic structure is the same.Īs Annie approaches the main street, she heads towards the Old Mill, which has an arched walkway underneath it.

The first shot of the movie after the opening sequence shows Annie crossing a small bridge as she walks into town. Sean Cunningham chose this location because it provided the perfect small town setting for the events of the fictional "Camp Crystal Lake" to take place.
